Natural wine is becoming increasingly popular! Wine that is made in the most natural way possible is called natural wine. Sounds logical, right?
The special thing about natural wine is that these wines are made with as little intervention as possible by the winemaker. So, for example, no added yeasts or the use of wood for more flavor. These wines also contain no or minimal added sulfites.
Natural wines taste pretty freaky. It's about the pure, unfiltered taste. They are often earthy, more sour and astringent than regular wine. And then they differ enormously from each other.
Once you're a fan of it, you may never want anything else!
