Wine box Sangiovese

Sangiovese is the predominant blue grape variety in Tuscany. You are certainly known for the Chianti wines, but don't forget the Rosso di Montepulciano or the famous Brunello di Montalcino wines.

Sangiovese changes its character phenomenally with aging. Where young Sangiovese shows typical characteristics of red cherries or black fruit with leather and some wood, after many years pronounced tertiary aromas emerge that range from forest floor or fur to mushrooms and even truffles.
